THE WEE SCOTTISH WRITER

This is the part where I am supposed to pat myself on the back and bore the shite out of you with details of literary awards and other pretentious hogwash. Well that ain't going to happen, although I will say, there is a whole slew of fawning accolades ;)

I grew up in Uddingston, Scotland, and attended the fine institution of Glasgow University, where my love for story telling began to flourish. It was also where my affection and tolerance for ice cold ales was progressively groomed. 

​

There it began, with the glasses of malted grain only enhancing an already bizarre mind, taking it to levels that could never have been achieved without. The hangovers were worth it and became tolerable...thank you Irn-Bru.

As this web address might suggest, I was never destined for a career in the National Basketball Association, considering more the footsteps of Bill Shoemaker or Frankie Dettori, or possibly sending in the resume to the local chocolate factory. 

​

After a small stint in Swindon, England, I decided a jump across the pond was in order, and I now reside in Davenport, Florida, a little spot just south-west of Orlando. The weather is the dog's bollocks and quite the departure from the usual dreich.

​

Writers of influence: Irvine Welsh, John Niven, Christopher Brookmyre, Chuck Palahniuk, and of course, Charles Bukowski. 

 

I have fourteen published titles to date (which I will elaborate on more than enough throughout this site), with another two releases scheduled during July and August 2020.
